It all started with a courageous urge to change our family’s lifestyle. The opportunity arose as a country barn house styled cafe just north of Auckland was up for grabs. The five of us made the move and in no time we were in the thick of it. Compelled to “make hay” , Idea’s for what we could add to our menu was never ending and that’s where the nut started to roll. We valued in creating a menu by sourcing the crème de la crème when it came to ingredients either from our own organic home grown garden or from like-minded suppliers.
From the long standing passion for producing quality coffee for our local people we soon developed an understanding of the similarities through the journey a coffee bean and a peanut share. From its growth to harvest the raw to roast and the mill to cup or in our case a glass pot. We were able to learn the key focus. Roasting. Like a coffee roaster we established two matchless roast styles. Our light Roast & our Dark, both gifting two unique peanut flavours we mill & mix a small batch at a time with organic coconut oil for texture and a lick of sea salt to finish. https://www.twistednut.co.nz
