Chaat Masala is a very popular spice seasoning used on Indian Street Food and vegetarian dishes. I enjoyed developing this Chaat Masala - it is the new 'in' blend at the moment! Main ingredients are dry mango powder and black salt (the salt has quite a powerful aroma but don't get put off by that - the flavour is just amazing)!
Sprinkle on roast or boiled potatoes, kumara, lentils, chickpea salads, yogurt dressings, fruits (watermelon, pineapple, pears or similar). Make a sweet tamarind chutney with Chaat Masala and mix in with potatoes or chickpeas.
