The taste and life-giving properties of the cacao bean have been known and enjoyed for millenia, but rather than adding sugar to the cacao bean, Kapakapa blends it with another ancient super-food - the carob pod. These ingredients are full of goodness and give a delicious, rich, bitter-sweet flavour, without added sugar or sweeteners.

At Kapakapa, we wanted to make a simple, real food. So we use only four basic ingredients : carob, cocoa, cacao liquor and water. Our taste comes solely from these quality ingredients, not flavourings, and careful processing means we do not need to use preservatives. You can prepare Kapakapa hot or cold and with cow, almond, soy, oat or rice milk. There is quite a lot of variance between preparations of vegetable based milks, so make sure you get a good one. Some of the chick pea fortified preparations are particularly good. Kapakapa's richness means it goes well with hot water too.

Preparation for two cups:
200mls of milk, heat gently in a pan
As the milk is warming, stir in 30mls (2 tbsps) of Kapakapa
Froth with a blender, frother or whisk and serve in a pre-warmed cup
