Freerange Press is a cooperative publisher that provides a platform for generating and sharing knowledge, and open, multidisciplinary discussion. We publish books and journals that focus on topics that respond to urban life: the city, politics, design and pirates. We currently see our mission as to make books (or other things) together – that wouldn't exist otherwise – on topics we care about (cities, design, environment and of course food and culture ), and to equitably share in the resources these produce.
We think that our collaborative approach to making publications allows individuals to collectively make and contribute to cultural goods that they could not achieve alone, as well as providing a place for people from a diverse range of backgrounds to express their views.
